BIOS

Frederick S. Graham, MD

Frederick S. Graham, MD

Dr. Graham has been in practice in Tuscaloosa, Alabama for nineteen years where he specializes in interventional pain management of the spine and the musculoskeletal system offering minimally invasive procedures to provide pain relief. Dr. Graham founded West Alabama Spine and Pain Specialists in 2009. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama and his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine. Dr. Graham completed a one-year internship in Orthopedic Surgery followed by his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. Following his residency training, he then completed an Interventional Spine Fellowship at OrthoAlabama Spine and Sports in Trussville, Alabama, making him proficient in cervical, thoracic, and lumbar injections. He is board-certified through the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Dr. Graham is a native of Huntsville, Alabama. He enjoys spending time with his wife Laura and their son Hagan. He also enjoys working in his yard, golfing, and attending sporting events.

Jessica Hester, CRNP

Jessica Hester, CRNP

Jessica Hester is a 2008 graduate from the University of Alabama Capstone College of Nursing. After graduating, Jessica worked as an RN at Brookwood Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama in the progressive care, open-heart, and post-anesthesia care units. Jessica obtained her Critical Care Registered Nurse certification while working in the open-heart unit (CVSU). In 2013, Jessica received her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She joined West Alabama Spine and Pain Specialists in 2014. Jessica desire to provide compassionate care and utilize a comprehensive approach in helping individuals manage chronic pain.

Jessica is a native of Cullman, Alabama. Outside of the office, Jessica enjoys spending time with her husband Daniel, children Katie and Cooper, and her church family. Her hobbies are gardening and beekeeping.

Amy Collins, CRNP

Amy Collins, CRNP

Amy Collins is a 2006 graduate from Shelton State Community College, where she received her degree as a Registered Nurse. After graduating, Amy worked at Druid City Hospital in the Stroke Unit, the Medical-Surgical Unit, and then in primary care for six years. Amy came to West Alabama Spine and Pain Specialists in 2017, where her interest in earning her Master of Science in Nursing began. We are pleased to announce that Amy will collaborate with Dr. Graham in providing care to our patients since graduating from Samford University in December 2021 with her Master of Science in Nursing. Amy is committed to providing treatment that will enhance and enrich the lives of patients living with chronic pain.

Amy is a native of Tuscaloosa, Alabama. She enjoys singing, playing the piano, and cheering on the Alabama Crimson Tide! She and her husband Chris love watching their two daughters, Anna and Lia, play sports and perform in the school theater. They are also very involved in their church and serve in the children and music ministries.
